Description

Munro was a great proponent of the loosely affiliated group of Scottish artists known as ‘The Glasgow Boys’

since she is a maiden goddess and never married

His nudes were never titillating and he always appeared to have great respect for his models and feminine beauty throughout his long career

I painted over the pelican and added a young woman

His ink illustrations seemed to be carved out of stone and there was a tremendous strength and gravity to it all

The Beach at Low Tide Black & White Munro was a great proponent
